As I said in my other journal, I was drawing the last commission as my mom sat behind me...
It sort of went like this:

(When she says my name in conversation, I replace it with [Milky]!)

Me: *opens canvas*
Mom: What is that? It looks like a mess? Is that the commission you were talking about?
Me: Yup. It's a sketch. It's supposed to look messy
Mom: Oh....
Me: *drawing over sketch*
Mom: *watches quietly*
Mom: Where did the sketch go?
Me: I don't need it anymore. I made the lines neater! See? *shows line art layer*
Mom: Okay... who is that you're drawing?
Me: A girl from an anime~
Mom:She looks so elegant. But she has a worried face...maybe she's thinking about the boy she likes *chuckles*
Me: .... o _ o;; *quietly continues to draw*
Mom: [Milky], how many customers did you draw for?
Me: Two. But one of them ordered twice.
Mom: That's not a lot...but it's good so far. You're young so I wouldn't expect a bunch of clients to come for your artwork..
Me: I'm sure I will one day...I just have to keep drawing...right?
Mom: Well....yes.
Me: *is shading base colors* Well? What do you think so far?
Mom: It's cute. But her head is large! Also, where's her body...?
Me: Most anime characters have large heads, mom....This is a headshot commission.
Mom: Headshot..!!!?!?
Me: N-not that type of head shot! I mean... you only see the head in the artwork...
Mom: O-oh... for a minute I thought.....
Me: I would never..!
Me: *finishes the artwork* Well?
Mom: You've been working for over an hour.
Me: T-that's all..? ;^;;;;
Mom: Aaaannddd...you did work patiently on the artwork.
Me:.....
Mom: If I were the commissioner I would be pleased with the work. I like it.
Me: R-really?
Mom: Yes.....but the style isn't something I prefer. Maybe something more like abstract artwork would suit my tastes.
Me: Abstract....? I-I don't understand? Abstract head shot artwork?
Mom: Well...I don't know how to describe it but I prefer abstract. That doesn't mean you should stop drawing [Milky]
Me: I know that. I'm still stuck on the Abstract art part.
Mom:> Don't worry about it! Everyone has different tastes. *leaves to watch TV*
Me: O-okay...
